For the first time ever Samantha Beau’s painting of Ned Kelly the Aussie Bad Boy, will be on display at the Tweed Gallery Cafe.
Inspired by the teal coloured Australian bush canopy and floor, Sam started this drawing as a reflection of the ghosts and spirits around Burleigh Heads. The whimsical trees and leaves evolving to be one of Australia’s most loved bushrangers and bad boys Ned Kelly.
Just how and why did Ned Kelly get a household name and why is he revered so?
Similar Australian Bushrangers in Tasmania, NSW and other Australian states didn’t receive the legendary status Ned Kelly did. The story is as enigmatic as the Australian Bush as the pseudo hero status of Ned Kelly lives on.
